From Rebrand Everything’s last paid subscriber newsletter, Rebranding mom rage:

“Motherhood has instilled more rage in me than life before ever could. It’s a palpable thing that I can sense rising from deep in my stomach, up through my chest, and straight into my exploding head. It’s hot, sweaty and dense, and no doubt comes from the daily 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. sensory overload.

The never-ending demands for snacks, the begging to help put on shoes, the screams that the other took their toy, mixed with the consistent sleep-deprivation fog hanging over my head like a dewy Pacific Northwest winter morning.”

October is my favourite month, fall my favourite season. I’m extra blessed this time around because my kids are now in daycare most days, and I don’t start back at work until November.

Cue some serious me time.

The gods are blessing me with wonderful fall temperatures, my jacket collection is at the ready, and I couldn’t resist a basic bitch list of things I want to see happen for me this season. Let’s end this maternity leave with a bang, shall we?

Consume way too many pumpkin-flavoured delicacies. We’re talking coffees, chai lattes, beers, scones, muffins, pie. Whatever it is, if it contains pumpkin, I want in.

Be a dork and capture way too many cute photos at the pumpkin patch. Because my kids are adorable. Full stop.

Read at least two books. I’m putting the summer smut aside for the moment. At the top of my list is The Women by Kristin Hannah and Yellowface by R. F. Kuan.

Go thrifting. Solo, with a podcast. Yesssssss.
